Over the years, Mr. Tarry and Mr. Hene have worked for multiple firms where they have practiced in areas ranging from personal injury to corporate counsel; however, they never lost focus of their true passions for business, real estate, and oil & gas law. Mr. Tarry’s practice has led him to specialize in real estate and business, and Mr. Hene’s practice has led him to specialize in oil & gas and business. They believe that practicing in areas of personal interest leads to superior client-representation. This is the motivating force behind their work.

Micah John Tarry
Mr. Tarry has a diverse professional and educational background. He received his Bachelor's in Psychology and Master of Social Work from Baylor University before receiving his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law. Before attending law school, Mr. Tarry was Legal Assistant at Flowers Davis, PLLC, a Sales Manager at Vector Marketing, a small business Owner of Tarry’s Pressure Washing. He spent his two summers during law school interning at Roberts & Roberts Law Firm. Upon receiving his J.D., he returned to Roberts & Roberts as the Pre-Litigation Manager. After his time at Roberts & Roberts, he went to work at Mayo Mendolia & Vice, LLP, where he handled a variety of civil matters, with a primary practice focused upon real estate and business law. In October of 2015, he formed Micah J. Tarry, P.C., in order to specialize in real estate and business law. In October 2018, he and Mr. Hene founded Tarry & Hene, P.L.L.C. In November of 2020, Mr. Tarry founded Tarry Title.
Mr. Tarry is active in his community by currently serving as President of the Smith County Bar Association (SCBA), as Chairman of the Smith County Appraisal Review Board (SCARB), as a Director for Camp Tyler Foundation, and as a member of the Leadership Tyler selections committee.
In the past, Mr. Tarry served as President-Elect, Treasurer, and Social Chair of the SCBA, as Immediate-Past President, President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary for the Smith County Young Lawyers Association, as a Regular Board Member and Auxiliary Board Member of the SCARB, and was a member of Leadership Tyler Class 29.

Stuart R. Hene
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Hene worked at the Texas State Capitol and served as a campaign consultant. Mr. Hene was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in November 2009. Throughout his legal career, Mr. Hene has focused his legal practice on oil & gas, business, commercial real estate, general civil litigation, and campaign consulting matters. He taught at the University of Texas at Tyler as an Adjunct Professor, served on the City of Tyler’s Parks and Recreation Board, and served on the City’s Civil Service Commission. Mr. Hene was elected City Councilman for the City of Tyler’s District 1 in May of 2021.
